Ingredients for 12 People

  • 5 oz unsalted butter, softened
  • 3.5 oz caster sugar
  • 3.5 oz light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 oz dark chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line two baking trays with baking paper. Cream the butter, caster sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract and De Nigris Apple Cider Vinegar with Mother together until light and creamy, and beat in the egg until well combined.  Sift in the flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda and salt. Mix until just combined, then stir in the chocolate chips. Roll teaspoonfuls of the mixture into balls and place onto the baking trays. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool on the trays for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
