A hearty, flavorful dish where tender pork chops are enriched by a sweet and tangy balsamic sauce. Finished with a drizzle of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena Gold Label – Smooth Taste for a perfectly balanced, elegant touch.

Ingredients for 4 People

  • 4 pork chops, about 2.5 cm thick, 200–250 g each
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 onion
  • 1 cup (240 ml) Balsamic Vinegar of Modena Gold Label – Smooth Taste De Nigris
  • ⅓ cup (60 g) brown sugar
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • Salt
  • Pepper

For the recipe

Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet, place the pork chops in the pan, and cook over medium heat for 4 minutes, until a golden crust forms. Flip the chops and cook 3 minutes on the other side.

Transfer the pork chops to a plate and cover with aluminum foil.

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil, finely chopped garlic and onion, and cook for about 3 minutes until translucent.

Pour in the balsamic vinegar, add the brown sugar, and stir until dissolved. Lower the heat when the first bubbles appear and simmer for about 5 minutes, until the liquid is reduced by half and slightly thickened.

Return the pork chops with their juices to the skillet and cook in the sauce over low heat for 2 minutes per side.

Serve the pork chops drizzled with their sauce and garnish with chopped parsley.
